sean lee: player of the week

Autumn St. Clair Featured, Players of the Week

The General is back!!!! A healthy Sean Lee is one that should be feared. With his display of dominance on the defensive front, he has earned this weeks honor. Despite missing the entire 2014 season, Lee clearly hasn’t lost a step. His explosiveness and technique on the field is exciting to watch (as long as you’re not on the other side of the ball).

Lee led the defense against the Eagles by registering 14 tackles, 2 pass deflections and a key end-zone interception. With the help of his teammates Demarco Murray was held to two yards on thirteen carries. I’m sure he would have gained more yardage if he just spent every touch trying to run in the opposite direction of #50. Sean made his presence known all over the field. There was rarely a play that was made where he wasn’t visible. To put the icing on the cake Lee recovered the Eagles onside kick which helped seal the Cowboys victory.

With the reality of the Cowboys playing without Romo and Bryant for the next 6-7 games, the defense is going to be heavily relied on. I can’t think of anyone better that I’d rather have leading the squad into battle than The General. He’s relentless on the field and is looking better than ever. If the pro bowl ballots were released today he’d be the leading vote getter. The next few games will be tough but Lee and the rest of the defense give us hope. DEFENSE WINS GAMES!!!!
